GENDER DETERMINATION: GENDER of RP-SMA and RP-TNC IS COUNTER-INTUITIVE in two ways:

    • The gender refers to the coaxial cable pins on the inside, not the threads.RP-SMA female has threads on the outside.
    • RP-TNC female has threads on the outside.
  • "RP" stands for reverse polarization: The pins are female when they appear male, and vice versa.

Connectors fit items with a (male) RP-SMA (Reverse Polarity SMA) jack/connector. RP = Reverse Polarity and a (male) RP-TNC (Reverse Polarity [RP] TNC) jack/connector.
