Wi-Fi Antenna Dual-Band - Omnidirectional

  • Omni dipole antenna: Radiates signal with a beam of 360 degrees; also receives signal from 360 degrees around it
  • Bottom section of "right angle" version has articulating angle that can be adjusted to 90-degrees or other angle.
  • Sends WiFi / wireless signal high and low enough to reach 2 levels of a building.
  • Mounts directly onto RP-SMA-female connector of radio or client device

Omni-directional direct connect antennas tuned to perform on 2.4 & 5.8 GHz networks. Vertically polarized and suitable for many of today’s machine to machine and communication applications such as telemetry, remote monitoring and mesh networking applications.

Compatibility with wireless standards & applications: This omni directional dual band antenna's range of frequency band compatibility in the 2.4GHz and the 5.8GHz frequencies, its excellent low broadband VSWR at < 1.8, and impedance matching to 50 Ohm gear, makes it suitable and compliant for all the following applications:

TEST RESULTS for FREQUENCY RANGES:

report antenna

The antenna exhibits stable and well-controlled impedance performance across the 2.40 to 2.51 GHz range, maintaining a characteristic impedance close to the nominal 50 Ω over most of the evaluated band. Analysis of the S11 parameter reveals an optimal matching point around 2.44–2.45 GHz, where the VSWR decreases to approximately 1.34, corresponding to a Return Loss of about −16.8 dB and a low reflection coefficient. This confirms efficient power transfer at the center of the 2.4 GHz ISM band. Throughout the remainder of the frequency range, the VSWR remains within acceptable limits, ensuring controlled reflection levels and consistent RF behavior, making the antenna suitable for applications such as Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth, ZigBee, and other wireless systems operating in the 2.4 GHz band.

Frequency range Assessment Rating Compatible technologies
2.40–2.51 GHz Very good ★★★★ Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth (Classic & BLE), ZigBee, Thread, ISM band IoT devices, wireless sensors and telemetry systems, and embedded RF communication modules operating in the 2.4 GHz band.
Stable 50 Ω impedance matching across the evaluated band. An optimal resonance is observed around 2.44–2.45 GHz, where VSWR reaches approximately 1.34 and Return Loss approaches −16.8 dB, ensuring efficient power transfer and low reflection levels within the ISM 2.4 GHz band.

ROHS Compliant: The entire product is ROHS compliant (connector and antenna).

  • SMA and RP SMA Connector Materials Composition
  • SMA and RP SMA Characteristics and Key Information
  • We offer an SMA wrench to assist in installing antennas, cables and adapters with SMA or RP-SMA connector(s).
  • SMA-male connector fits items that have an SMA (female) jack/connector.
  • Articulating (Bendable) Right Angle: This antenna can be angled up to 90 degrees (articulating right angle) or positioned straight. The articulating (bendable) right-angle isn’t weatherproof: Water can seep into the angled part of the antenna. Articulating right-angle antennas are therefore recommendable for indoor use or protected outdoors, i.e. under an eave. If you need a weatherproof dipole antenna, you should choose either a straight dipole or one with a fixed right angle. See our weatherproof antennas .
