Active or Passive GPS Operation
This antenna can be supplied in either active or passive GPS/GNSS configurations.
Active GPS
If the connected receiver provides DC bias voltage through the coaxial cable, the antenna operates as an active GPS antenna using its internal low-noise amplifier.
Passive GPS
If no DC bias is supplied by the connected receiver, the antenna functions as a passive GPS antenna.
Data Alliance can configure the GPS section to meet the requirements of your equipment.
Mounting Options
The antenna supports two installation methods:
Through-Hole Mount
The integrated threaded mounting stud provides a secure permanent installation through vehicle roofs, equipment enclosures, control cabinets, kiosks, and machinery.
Adhesive Mount
The integrated high-strength adhesive pad allows installation without drilling, making it ideal for temporary installations or applications where through-hole mounting is undesirable.
Suitable mounting surfaces include:
-
Vehicle roofs

Broadband Cellular Performance
The broadband LTE element provides excellent efficiency across a wide operating bandwidth while maintaining low VSWR and proper 50-ohm impedance matching.
Its omnidirectional radiation pattern allows dependable communications regardless of vehicle orientation.
The low-profile design minimizes wind resistance while offering an attractive appearance for commercial vehicles and industrial equipment.
Radiation Pattern
Type: Omnidirectional
Horizontal Beamwidth (H-Plane):
360°
Provides uniform signal coverage in every horizontal direction, making it ideal for mobile applications where antenna orientation continuously changes.
Optional Iridium Customization
For applications requiring satellite communications, the GPS element may be factory tuned from the GPS L1 frequency (1575 MHz) to approximately 1.6 GHz for compatibility with Iridium® satellite systems.
This custom option typically requires approximately four additional weeks of production time and incurs a modest additional cost.

Cable is double-shielded, low-loss and very flexible. The cable-type is equivalent or better than LMR-100: Coax with black jacket has the same or better signal-loss-per-meter and flexibility as LMR100, and less attenuation (signal loss) than RG174. The higher quality of the cable of this antenna translates into lower loss/better performance. These antenna cables are rated for outdoor use and are also suitable for indoor use. Recommended tightest continuous bend radius is 1.1 inch (28mm).
