The RF analysis confirms stable and well-controlled antenna performance within the 2.4 GHz band, with proper impedance matching and SWR values generally between 1.3:1 and 1.5:1, ensuring efficient power transfer. Peak performance is achieved near 2.60 GHz, with a Return Loss of approximately –17.4 dB and an SWR close to 1.31:1, while the center of the band (around 2.52 GHz) maintains a Return Loss near –14.8 dB. Overall, the antenna delivers reliable and consistent RF behavior, making it well suited for 2.4 GHz applications such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and IoT in both industrial and commercial environments.

RP-TNC Connector Characteristics and Details:

RP-TNC is a round screw-type connector, with nickel-plated brass.

  • Nickel-plated brass is the best plating-alloy for corrosion-resistance.
  • RP-TNC is similar to BNC except that whereas BNC has a slotted mating collar, RP-TNC has a screw-down type connector. RP-TNC's screw-down connector performs better than BNC in the microwave spectrum.
  • RP=Reverse Polarity. Gender of RP-TNC is counter-intuitive: Click for details.
  • Articulating (Bendable) Right Angle: This antenna can be angled up to 90 degrees (articulating right angle) or positioned straight. The articulating (bendable) right-angle isn’t weatherproof: Water can seep into the angled part of the antenna. Articulating right-angle antennas are therefore recommendable for indoor use or protected outdoors, i.e. under an eave.
