900MHz Antenna 2.5dBi Fiberglass Omni-Directional w/ N-Type-f

860-960 MHz 3dBi Omnidirectional Antenna: Fiberglass Weatherproof - suitable for outdoor use

Mount Options: See our mount options for antennas with an N-connector (Type-N connector)

Compatibility with wireless standards & applications: This omnidirectional antenna's range of frequency band compatibility in the 860 MHz to 960 MHz frequency band range, its low broadband VSWR, and its impedance matching to 50 Ohm gear make it suitable and compliant for all the following applications:

  • All antennas in our Nova Antennas subcategory and the Helium accessory items directory are compatible with Nova network miners/devices. They include Antennas, cables, and mounts for range extension of Helium miners (including Bobcat miners) and LoRaWAN access points.
  • 900MHz ISM Band. It can also operate on other VHF and UHF frequencies within the ISM frequency bands.
  • Non Line of Sight (NLOS): 900 MHz band is best for passing through trees and forests.
  • 3G / GSM: Broadband design for GSM systems: 4G networks: AT&T Mobility & Verizon.
  • Non Line of Sight (NLOS)
  • IoT wireless and: Since it is vertically polarized, it is compatible with many machine-to-machine communication applications, remote monitoring, and telemetry applications:
    • RFID
    • This is for 3G / GSM, LoRa, ZigBee, and any other wireless protocol that uses a frequency in the 850-920MHz band.
    • SCADA
    • Wireless Video Links

The antenna, tested in the 900-940 MHz range, demonstrates consistent and reliable performance. It maintains a return loss greater than –13 dB and a VSWR less than 1.55 across the entire spectrum, ensuring low reflection losses and adequate transmission efficiency. Its best performance is found around 921 MHz, where it achieves a return loss of –23.8 dB and a VSWR ≈ 1.14, corresponding to a near-perfect match with reflection losses less than 0.5%.

N-type female Connector Characteristics and Details: Durable, weatherproof connection

Our N-Type connectors, meticulously designed with threaded coupling mechanisms, are fully interchangeable with N-Type connectors made to the MIL-C-39012 specification. These connectors are a staple in all systems where excellent RF and mechanical performance is critical.

N materials composition:

  • The body is constructed from nickel-plated brass, known for its resistance to corrosion and reliable strength.
  • At the core, a gold-plated beryllium copper contact enhances signal integrity and ensures excellent conductivity.
  • PTFE serves as the dielectric insulator, chosen for its resilience in electrically demanding conditions.
  • The ferrule, made of copper and nickel-plated, maintains mechanical durability.
