Compatibility
This active antenna is designed for satellite-navigation receivers operating from 1575.42 to 1602 MHz. The connected receiver must have a standard SMA female antenna port and support an active GNSS antenna. Confirm that the receiver supplies the correct antenna bias power specified by its manufacturer.
- GPS L1 receivers operating at 1575.42 MHz
- GLONASS G1 receivers operating within the supported frequency range
- Dual-system GPS and GLONASS navigation receivers
- GNSS vehicle tracking and fleet-management equipment
- Telematics control units with an SMA female GPS/GNSS port
- Compatible navigation, timing, and positioning equipment
- Industrial GPS and GLONASS receivers
- Compatible cellular routers and gateways with a dedicated GNSS port
Standard SMA and reverse-polarity SMA connectors are not interchangeable. The connector type, active-antenna support, frequency coverage, and bias-power requirements of the receiver should be verified before ordering.

RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and California Proposition 65 Compliance
This antenna complies with RoHS and REACH requirements governing restricted substances and chemicals in electrical and electronic products. It also complies with applicable conflict-minerals sourcing requirements and California Proposition 65 requirements. Data Alliance antennas and antenna cable products are manufactured with attention to environmental compliance, responsible material sourcing, and applicable product-safety requirements.
Active GPS and GLONASS Signal Reception
This active puck antenna is designed to receive GPS and GLONASS satellite-navigation signals across the 1575.42–1602 MHz frequency range. Its coverage includes the GPS L1 frequency at 1575.42 MHz and GLONASS G1 frequencies extending through approximately 1602 MHz. Supporting both navigation systems can help a compatible receiver access a broader satellite constellation for positioning, navigation, tracking, and timing applications.
The antenna provides 28 dBi specified active gain. As an active antenna, it is intended for use with receivers that support a powered GNSS antenna through the coaxial connection. The receiver must provide the appropriate DC bias required for its antenna interface. Because supply-voltage and current specifications are receiver-dependent and are not stated here, installers should verify compatibility with the equipment manufacturer before connecting the antenna.
Low-Profile Thru-Hole Vehicle Mount
The rounded puck-style housing offers a compact, discreet appearance for permanent vehicle and equipment installations. Measuring approximately 53 mm in diameter and 23 mm high, the antenna maintains a low profile above the mounting surface while providing a secure mechanical connection.
An M12 × 1.0 threaded post passes through the mounting surface and is secured from below with the included mounting hardware. This thru-hole design is more secure than a temporary magnetic or adhesive installation and is suitable for vehicles, machinery, cabinets, and fixed equipment exposed to movement or vibration. The integrated rubber sealing surface, O-ring, washer, and mounting nut help create a stable installation when correctly fitted to a suitable surface.
The antenna should be mounted with the dome facing upward and with as clear a view of the sky as practical. Roofs, vehicle panels, equipment housings, dense structures, and overhead obstructions may reduce the number or strength of received satellite signals. Installers should avoid locations immediately beside high-power transmitters or other components that may introduce RF interference.
Integrated RG174 Cable and SMA Male Connector
The antenna includes an attached RG174 coaxial cable terminated with a standard SMA male connector. The flexible, small-diameter cable is suitable for routing through vehicle interiors, equipment enclosures, dashboards, and control cabinets. The direct cable assembly eliminates the need to add a separate antenna pigtail when the receiving device has a compatible SMA female GPS or GNSS port.
Plan the cable route before tightening the mounting hardware. Avoid sharp bends, crushing, abrasion, excessive pulling force, and routing beside high-current wiring when possible. Any unused cable should be arranged in a loose loop rather than tightly coiled or folded. Finger-tighten the SMA connector securely without applying excessive torque.
Weather-Resistant Construction
The black polycarbonate housing provides a durable protective enclosure for the antenna components. Its IP68 waterproof rating makes the antenna appropriate for properly installed exterior applications where it may encounter rain, dust, dirt, or washing. Final installation integrity depends on correct mounting, sealing, cable routing, and protection of the SMA connection and receiving equipment.
The specified operating temperature range of −40°C to +105°C supports use in demanding automotive, transportation, industrial, and outdoor environments. Actual positioning performance will depend on satellite visibility, receiver sensitivity, installation location, cable routing, surrounding structures, electrical interference, and environmental conditions.
