SMA Male Right Angle To SMA Female Straight Cable

Antenna Cable / Adapter: SMA Male Right-Angle To SMA Female (regular straight type): Double-shielded cable

  • See other length options of this cable: 20-inches to 5-feet.
  • One end has an SMA-male right-angle type connector, and the other end has an SMA-female connector, straight type with bulkhead mount (nut and washer).
  • See other SMA Extension Cable options (Male to Female) with variations of straight and right-angle connectors.
  • Data Alliance's high-quality soldered terminations of SMA connectors with soldering provide a low-loss connection with discontinuities kept to a minimum.

SMA Connector Characteristics and Details

SMA Female Version Options SMA Elongated
The version of the SMA female connector on the left has an embedded o-ring, together with a wider flange, for more secure protection against intrusion of water and/or dust and dirt. It is available for some cable versions on this page, and others by special order. The longer SMA-female version (top in photo) has a 14.5mm threaded section. It is available for some cable versions on this page, and others by special order.

Antenna Cable Coax is double-shielded, low-loss and very flexible /easily bendable coax with black jacket.

  • The cable-type is equivalent or better than LMR-100: Coax with black jacket has the same or better signal-loss-per-meter and flexibility as LMR100, and less attenuation (signal loss) than RG174.
  • This cable is rated for outdoor use and is also suitable for indoor use.
  • The higher quality of the cable of this antenna translates into lower loss/better performance.
  • Cable is equivalent to LMR-100 in thickness.
  • Recommended tightest bend radius is 1 inch (28mm).

SMA male R/A to SMA female straight (bkd): Comparison between LMR-100 ang RG-174 coaxial cable types differences.

The temperature range for operational use of this 100-series coax and the cable assembly, is: -22 F ~ +185 F (-30 C ~ +85 C)

I've seen many pilots install the antennae directly to the shell and the transmitter. A bad crash that separates the antenna will risk ripping up the transmitter as well. This acts as a buffer between the two. The one end screws into the frame perfectly so my external antenna will connect and protect!
