FME-female to MCX right-angle Cable

Antenna Cable: FME-female to MCX right angle (your choice) 8 inch Cable. Cable type is LMR-100 equivalent double-shielded.

Data Alliance's high-quality soldered terminations of FME connectors with soldering provide a low-loss connection with discontinuities kept to a minimum.

The length refers to the length of the cable between the connectors (not including the connectors).

Cable is double-shielded for low signal-loss, and is very flexible/easily bendable. Coaxial cable type is similar to LMR-100 but better quality than LMR100: Coax with black jacket has the same or better signal-loss-per-meter and flexibility as LMR100, and less attenuation (signal loss) than RG174. The double-shielding is a major factor in the higher quality of this cable, translates into lower loss/better performance. Cable is equivalent to LMR-100 in thickness. This cable is rated for outdoor use and is also suitable for indoor use.

The temperature range for operational use of this 100-series coax and the cable assembly, is: -22 F ~ +185 F (-30 C ~ +85 C)

Lead-free and ROHS compliant: The entire product is ROHS compliant (connectors and cable).

Brand new, high quality connectors, precision machined in ISO 9001 facilities. Nickel and gold-plated for weatherproofing and low signal loss.

FME (For Mobile Equipment) is a miniature 50 Ohm RF connector with excellent performance from DC to 2.0 GHz. FME is primarily used with RG-58 or equivalent coaxial cables employed in mobile applications and installations. FME female's narrow, cone-like shape allows FME cables to be snaked through the often tight access holes or spaces of a vehicle to the desired equipment location(s) where an FME male adapter to the required equipment connector series is fitted to the female cable connector.

TS-9 is a small coax connector that is commonly used with cellular phone products. MCX looks very much like TS-9.

MCX (micro coaxial)connectors are coaxial RF connectors that have a snap-on interface and a 50 Ohm impedance. They offer broadband capability from DC to 6 GHz. The contact surfaces are gold-plated. They have the same inner contact and insulator dimensions as the SMB connector but are 30% smaller.

  • MCX is the external antenna port for Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. MCX and the smaller MMCX version are frequently used to connect external antennas to GPS receivers. They are also common on USB DVB-T tuners for computers and laptops, to connect an external antenna to the tuner.
  • The outer diameter of the MCX male is approximately 3.6 mm or 0.140 inch. MCX male is also called MCX plug.
