N-female To SMA-male Cable

Antenna Cable / Adapter: N-type female connector to SMA-male connector

  • One end has a SMA-male connector and the other end has an N-type female connector with a waterproof / weatherproof o-ring.
  • See our mounts for antennas and cables with N-female connectors.
  • Allows interconnection of devices with N male and SMA female interfaces: Antennas, antenna cables and wireless devices.
  • See other N to SMA cable options & adapters
  • For coaxial extension (for better antenna positioning), c oaxial interface conversion, coax retrofit applications
  • Data Alliance's high-quality soldered terminations of SMA and Type-N connectors with soldering provide a low-loss connection with discontinuities kept to a minimum.

Compatibility with wireless applications: Our N to SMA antenna cable's range of frequency band compatibility (from 0GHz to 18GHz), consistently low broadband VSWR, and impedance matching to 50 Ohm gear, makes them compatible and compliant for all the following applications:

Antenna Cable Coax is double-shielded, low-loss and very flexible: Two options that are both rated for outdoor use and are also suitable for indoor use:

  • The 100-series cable-type is equivalent or better than LMR-100: Coax with black jacket has the same or better signal-loss-per-meter and flexibility as LMR100, and less attenuation (signal loss) than RG174. The higher quality of the cable of this antenna translates into lower loss/better performance.
  • The 200-series is equivalent or better than LMR-200: Double the thickness of 100-series, with much lower signal loss, but less flexibility.

N-type to SMA cable coax LMR100 and LMR-200 comparison of signal loss, shielding, diameter, bend radius and other specifications

The temperature range for operational use of these cable assemblies are as follows:

  • Cables with 100-series coax: -22 F ~ +185 F (-30 C ~ +85 C)
  • Cables with 200-series coax: -31 F ~ +203 F (-35 C ~ +95 C)

RoHS and REACH compliant: All of our antenna cables and adapters are compliant with RoHS 3 and REACH restrictions on heavy metals and other toxins.

N-type Connector Characteristics and Details: Durable, weatherproof connection

  • The N-female-bulkhead connector has a rubber O-ring, which provides a water-tight seal when installing in an enclosure port.
  • Nickel-plated brass body for enhanced corrosion resistance: Nickel plating is the most weather-resistant, corrosion-resistant metal plating.
  • Our N connectors provide a consistent performance from 900MHz to 12.5 GHz.
  • N-Female diameter is 0.620-inch (1.57 cm). N-male inside diameter is 0.620-inch (1.57 cm)
  • N-connector gender is counter-intuitive: Click here for details.
  • N-Type connectors are the largest of the RF connector types, and are usually found on large antennas, especially for outdoor use.
  • Our N-Type connectors feature threaded coupling mechanisms and are fully interchangeable with N-Type connectors made to the MIL-C-39012 specification. These connectors are used in all systems where excellent RF and mechanical performance is critical.
