This adapter has an SMA(male) connector on one end and a RP-SMA male connector on the other end.

Enables connection of an RP-SMA(female) connector to a SMA(female) connector.

The connector on left in photo is SMA(male) and connector on right is RP-SMA(male)

COMPATIBILITY

Connector on left in photo fits items that have a (female) SMA (Reverse Polarity [RP] SMA) jack/connector.

Connector on right fits items that have a (female) RP-SMA (Reverse Polarity [RP] SMA) jack/connector.

RP-SMA = Reverse Polarity SMA

Gender of RP-SMA is counter-intuitive in two ways: Please observe picture & note it is correct.

1. The gender is referring to the pins inside--not the threads. RP-SMA male has threads on inside.

2. "RP" stands for reverse polarization - the pins are female when they appear to be male, and vice versa.
